Waimanalo Pumpkin Patch

It is October and with that of course comes Halloween. Last Sunday we went over to the pumpkin patch in Waimanalo to have some harvest fun and pick up a few (more) pumpkins. 

The pumpkin patch is located at Waimanalo Country Farms, and is open every weekend in October. Besides picking pumpkins, they offer other activities as well, like tractor drawn rides, pumpkin cannons, a country store, farm animal petting zoo, and pumpkin painting.

At the country store you can find fresh produce, lemonade and sweet corn 

with lemon butter. Yummy! They also sell shave ice.

Pumpkin painting is a fun activity for the keiki.

Koolau mountains. Majestic views of both mountains and the ocean surround.

The pumpkins are not exactly grown on site. This is Hawaii after all, and pumpkins are not a typical local crop. However, Waimanalo Country Farms is a real working farm, the pumpkins are also real (even if they are shipped in), and there is nothing more fun than taking your child to a pumpkin patch in the days leading up to Halloween. We had a blast!
